In the Monade gallery, on Wednesday, July 26, starting at 9 p.m., the Mudri Brk Festival will record its first international collaboration.
As part of the European Festival Fund for Young Artists – EFFEA, which is co-financed by the European Union and in cooperation with Jelsa Art Biennial, Felispeaks, Anna Mullarkey and the artists of the Jelsa Art Biennial will perform in the “New Nurturing” program.
Led by poet, performer and playwright FELISPEAKS, this versatile, collaborative performance will bring together poetry, music and visual art to ask the question – what’s next for women, celebrating women’s contributions to society and imagining the possibilities that lie ahead.
FELISPEAKS is a Nigerian-Irish poet, performer, playwright and board member of Poetry Ireland, Poetry Collective, WeAreGriot and Artist-in-Residence with Axis Ballymun and Visual Carlow.
Anna Mullarkey is an award-winning composer and performer from Galway whose music intertwines electronics with piano and voice. He is currently working on music for theater and film, combining electronics with classical music.
