ČA BUDE BIT ĆE
Glazbeni performans
26.7.2025.
Trg sv. Ivana
21h
Baranger živi i radi u Zagrebu (Hrvatska) od listopada 2022. Stvara sanjive i osjetljive prostore koji nude intimne trenutke zbunjenosti i promišljanja. Ti prostori, kojima slika daje vizualne elemente, a glazba zvuk, sastoje se od zajedničkog vokabulara (ton, harmonija, rezonanca, vibracija, kompozicija). Kroz zamućenje i igru percepcija (slušnih i vizualnih) modelira teksture i površine koje postaju polazišta za maštu.

ČA BUDE BIT ĆE
Musical performance
July 26th, 2025
St John’s Square
9PM
The performance “Ča bude bit će” (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) is a part of a longer collaboration with KUD Jelsa (women’s klapa Frecija) which began in February 2024 during the JAB Hub winter residency.
The performance happening in St John’s Square starting at 9PM will feature some of the most well-known klapa repertoire in a reinterpretative game of sound hide-and-seek. Using mobile technology and loudspeakers, the singers’ voices will be carried throughout Jelsa, for passers-by and wonderers to find, splitting up at the beginning of the song and then meeting up again, creating a symphony of movement, wonder and surprise. We invite you to listen carefully and follow the curious sounds of acapella klapa music as they diverge and converge in a continuous symphony, bouncing off the stone walls of the narrow Jelsa streets and echoing throughout the square.
Biography:
Hugo Baranger was born in 1992 in Niort (France). Its colours, the winter mist and its landscapes are the basis of his iconography. He graduated from the Fine Arts Academia of Angoulême in 2016 where he cofounded the collective Nani$ôka Groupe. Baranger lives and works in Zagreb (Croatia) since october 2022. Hugo composes dreamlike and sensitive spaces that offer intimate times of bewilderment and reflection. These spaces, which are given visuals by painting and sound by music, are made up of a common vocabulary (tone, harmony, resonance, vibration, composition). Through the blurring and the play of perceptions (auditory and visual) he models textures and surfaces that become starting points for the imagination.
