Drugi dio site-specific događanja „Razgovori s ribom“ baskijskog kulinarskog buntovnika Cocina de Guerrilla i filmske radnice i dramaturginje Karle Crnčević održat će se u ponedjeljak, 14.7. s početkom u 20 sati, aktivacijom mobilnog uređaja u javnom prostoru (Riva). Bit će degustacija hrane, čitanje poezije, projekcije filmova i pitanja i odgovori s umjetnicima.

Happening Razgovori s ribom povezat će hranu, arhive, prošlost, budućnost i razgovore među vrstama. Ovaj događaj dio je većeg istraživačkog projekta, s ciljem otvaranja dijaloga između stanovnika Jelse i riba koje nastanjuju more oko otoka. Istraživanjem povijesnih, gospodarskih i kulturnih veza između otočne zajednice i riba postavljaju se pitanja održivosti, rada u turizmu, povezanosti zajednice i odnosa s prirodom.

O umjetnicima:
COCINA DE GUERRILLA je kolektiv koji preispituje gastronomiju, njezino znanje, tehnike i mogućnosti s ciljem zadovoljavanja prehrambenih potreba ljudi i promicanja prehrambenog suvereniteta kao jamstva ljudskih prava. Kuhinju koriste kao alat za umjetničko stvaranje, istražujući kreativne mogućnosti koje hrana nudi.

KARLA CRNČEVIĆ je dramaturginja i filmska djelatnica koja istražuje politiku slike i zvuka kroz različite formate i uvjete proizvodnje. Njeni video radovi i filmovi prikazani su i nagrađivani na raznim festivalima u domaćem i međunarodnom kontekstu. Jedna je od osnivačica festivala Unseen, koji se bavi revitalizacijom kino prostora. Diplomirala je dramaturgiju na ADU u Zagrebu i usavršila se u školi EQZE u San Sebastianu.

Istraživački projekt Razgovori s ribom razvijen je uz podršku Magic Carpets, europske platforme usmjerene na promicanje umjetničke mobilnosti i rada sa zajednicama.

The second part of site-specific event happening “Conversations with Fish” by the Basque culinary rebel Cocina de Guerrilla and film worker and dramaturge Karla Crnčević will take place on Monday, July 14th starting at 8pm, with activation of mobile device in public space (Riva). There will be food tasting, poetry reading, film screenings and Q&A with the artists. Don’t be “mute as a fish” & come join us in Conversations with Fish!

The happening Conversations with Fish will connect food, archives, the past, the future and conversations between species. This happening is part of a larger research project, with the aim of opening a dialogue between the inhabitants of Jelsa and the fish that inhabit the sea around the island. By exploring the historical, economic and cultural connections between the island community and fish, questions of sustainability, work in tourism, community connections and relationships with nature are raised.

About the artists:

COCINA DE GUERRILLA is a collective that re-examines gastronomy, its knowledge, techniques and possibilities with the aim of satisfying people’s nutritional needs and promoting food sovereignty as a guarantee of human rights. They use the kitchen as a tool for artistic creation, exploring the creative possibilities that food has to offer.

KARLA CRNČEVIĆ is a dramaturge and film worker who investigates the politics of image and sound through different formats and production conditions. Her video works and films have been shown and awarded at various festivals in the domestic and international context. She is one of the founders of the Unseen festival, which deals with the revitalization of cinema spaces. She graduated in dramaturgy at ADU in Zagreb and completed her training at the EQZE school in San Sebastian.

The research project Conversations with Fish was developed with the support of Magic Carpets, a European platform aimed at promoting artistic mobility and working with communities.
